Botox

LATISSE®

What is LATISSE®?
LATISSE® is a prescription treatment that can help more eyelashes to grow and can also help eyelashes to grow longer, thicker, and darker.

How does it work?
During the eyelash hair’s growth cycle, LATISSE® increases both the length of the eyelash hairs and also increases the number of hairs that grow.

How soon will I see results?
The effect of LATISSE® is gradual, but the majority of users tend to see improvement by the second month.

Is LATISSE® safe?
The safety and efficacy of using LATISSE® was shown in a clinical trial. Setup an appointment for more information, or see www.latisse.com for important safety information.

What are the possible side effects with LATISSE®?
In about 4% of the users in a clinical trial of LATISSE®, the most common side effects were eye itching and eye redness. LATISSE® may also cause other less common side effects in the skin close to where LATISSE® is applied including darkening, eye irritation, dryness, or eyelid redness.

Botox

How does it work?
A few drops of Botox are injected with a tiny needle into the muscle that creates a wrinkle. When Botox is injected into a muscle, it blocks the nerve impulse from reaching that area, and as a result, the muscle weakens. As the muscle weakens, the skin overlying the muscle relaxes and the wrinkles in the skin gradually soften and often disappear. Botox treatment does not effect normal facial expressions.

Who is a candidate for botox?
The best candidates for Botox treatment are men and women who are physically healthy, psychologically stable, and realistic in their expectations. Most are 30 or older, but you may decide to have this procedure at a younger age in order to prevent premature wrinkles to appear.

Safety and side effects
This procedure is one of the safest available for reduction of wrinkles. Botox has been used safely and successfully in ophthalmology for over 12 years and for wrinkle therapy for almost 10 years. It has been approved by the FDA for neurological disorders. In the amounts used for wrinkle therapy, the only possible side effects are temporary and localized to the area of injection.

What about pain and recovery time?
When Botox is injected there is an initial minor sting for a few seconds. Once the injection is complete, there is usually no discomfort. Nearly all patients continue their daily activity immediately after the treatment.
